Description

Sets like this reflect the late Victorian to Edwardian approach to tableware, where solid silver pieces were made for regular use and often marked with family initials. This set of six sterling silver tablespoons includes four made in Sheffield in 1906 and two made in London in 1896 by George Maudsley Jackson, all fully hallmarked to confirm origin and date. Each spoon is 21cm long in a larger tablespoon size, with a substantial total weight of 430 grams, giving a solid and well-balanced feel in the hand. All pieces are monogrammed with a “G,” consistent with traditional ownership marking.
