This Killiecrankie diamond ring in sterling silver is size L 3/4, weighs 2.23g, and has a compact setting is 7mm × 6mm holding a slightly blue-tinted stone. Killiecrankie diamonds come from Killiecrankie Bay on Flinders Island, Tasmania, and are among the few diamonds like stones found in Australia; they are really Topaz. Killiecrankie diamonds are usually small and often show a soft grey or blue cast, giving them a subtle, distinctive character that sets them apart from traditional white diamonds and makes them especially appealing to collectors of Australian gemstones.
This piece has been made especially for the Shop in the Bush and is sold as a new item. The stone was sourced by a Tasmanian lapidarist from Killiecrankie bay on Flinders Island, Tasmania and was set by our talented local Jeweller, Guy Wilson.
