This sterling silver rose bowl is lined with gold on the inside.  Gold was often used to line rose bowls such as this to protect the silver from corrosion.  Click here for more information about antique silver. The hallmark is clear showing it was made in London in 1830.  There is also an interesting antelope crest of unknown origin.  It is in good condition considering its age.  Or maybe you might be interested in some of the many other pieces we have available such as this WMF Antique Silverware Art Deco Toast Rack or this  Silver Egg Cruet England c.1950
