This beautiful and elegant carnival glass vase is 27cm high and the base is 68mm diameter. Carnival glass is made by moulding and pressing glass and applying an iridescent shimmer to the surface. This style of glassware became incredibly popular in the 1920s, and was produced in every continent except for Africa and Antarctica. It was made in more than 50 shades and colours. Although fairly common in the early 20th century, it is now considered highly collectable. This piece is featured in the shop as the “staff pic of the week”. We love it!
